Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Nazar collects, how we process it, and the choices you have. It reflects how the product actually works today. We'll keep it current as the product evolves.

Who we are

Nazar is operated by Individual Entrepreneur Arman Karapetyan, a registered sole proprietorship in the Republic of Armenia (registration No. 282.1482819). For the purposes of data-protection law, the Operator is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Full registered details are on our Contacts page. What we collect

• Account email — used to identify your account and contact you.
• Captures — the text, voice memos, and photos you send to Nazar.
• Your content — the notes, todos, bugs, and projects you create or that we classify from your captures.
• Optional BYO API keys — if you choose to bring your own Anthropic key for the assistant.

How captures are processed

Your captures pass through Nazar so they can be classified into notes, todos, and bugs and filed by project. Classification runs on Groq by default; Claude (Anthropic) is used only when you ask for it. Voice memos are transcribed with self-hosted Whisper on our own servers — never sent to a third-party transcription API. We never use OpenAI.

What stays on your machine

The Claude Code bridge runs as a local daemon on your own computer. Your repositories and source code stay local — they are never uploaded to or stored on our servers. The bridge drives Claude Code on your machine using your own Claude subscription.

Storage & security

Your account, captures, and content are stored on our own VPS in a Postgres database. If you provide a BYO Anthropic key, it is encrypted at rest, never logged, and used only to serve your own requests. You can rotate or delete it anytime in settings.

Your Anthropic key

We only store an Anthropic key if you opt to use your own key for the assistant instead of Groq. In that case it's encrypted at rest, never logged, used only for your own requests, and removable at any time. The Claude Code bridge stores no key at all — it drives Claude Code on your own machine using your own subscription.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data.
• We don't use OpenAI — not the company, its API, or its models.
• We don't log or reuse your BYO API key beyond your own requests.

Service providers we use

We rely on a small set of third-party providers to run the service. They process data only as needed to provide their service to us:

• AmeriaBank vPOS — card payment processing. Card details are entered on the bank's secure PCI-DSS page; we never receive or store your full card number.
• Lemon Squeezy — subscription billing for recurring plans.
• Groq — default classification of your captures.
• Anthropic (Claude) — used only when you ask for it, or via your own key.
• Telegram — when you capture through the Telegram bot.
• Hostinger — VPS hosting for the application and database.

We do not use OpenAI.

Cookies & analytics

We use only the cookies strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the service securely. We do not use cookies for advertising. We use no third-party analytics or tracking tools.

How long we keep data

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize the associated data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal or accounting obligations.

International users

Nazar is operated from the Republic of Armenia, and your data is stored on a VPS provided by Hostinger. If you access Nazar from another country, you understand your data may be processed there.

Children

Nazar is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use Nazar. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under that age; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Data deletion & your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. To request deletion, or to exercise data-access and other rights available to you (including GDPR rights where applicable), contact us at support@nazar.bot. We'll act on verified requests within a reasonable period.
